Rosewood bookcase circa 1830. The glazed bookcase with original glass. Internally it has two shelves. The lower section has an upper drawer and two doors which open to reveal a pull out shelf. Good mellowed lightly sunbleached front has created a desirable colouring. Evidence indicating this was previously owner by the private bank now called ‘C.Hoare & Co’. A label almost unreadable with dirt was found on the inside of the upper drawer. It has been cleaned and its edges tidied and reads ‘Messrs. Hoare, Fleet Street’ (see photo).

The upper section is detachable from the base making it easier to transport.
